摘要

This report describes parameter optimization techniques for the design of linear automatic control systems that are applicable to both continuous and digital systems. The model performance index is used as the optimization criterion because of the physical insight that can be attached to it. It is shown that satisfactory design of representative flight vehicle control systems can be achieved by using these techniques. These include aircraft longitudinal and lateral automatic flight control systems and a first stage launch booster attitude control system with bending mode coupling.
