摘要

Methods to visualize damage in carbon-epoxy composites are developed. The resolution and the applicability of the methods are determined. Visualized damage is characterized for several design, load, and operating conditions including specimen conditioning, static and dynamic loading, load cycles, layer stratification, and specimen geometry. Pictures are presented to illustrate the conclusions.
