XCAD: A CAD (Computer Aided-Design) Object-Oriented Virtual Solid Modeler for an Expert System Shell

摘要

Critical aspects of existing CAD systems are discussed and the approach based on a modeler implemented on an object oriented layer linked to an expert system is presented. It is shown that some of the mentioned problems are solved. This environment allows more flexible data management, more powerful and natural prototype modeling as well as automatic design reasonings.
