Approximations and Two-Sample Tests Based on p-p and Q-Q Plots of the Kaplan-Meier Estimators of Lifetime Distributions

A study concerned with nonparametric comparative statistical inference forsurvival distributions in the two-sample case is presented. Namely, if F(sub m) and G(sub n) denote Kaplan-Meier estimators of lifetime (or failure) distribution functions based on independent samples of sizes m and n respectively, statistical comparison procedures of the unknown distributions F and G based on F(sub m) and G(sub n) are considered.
