摘要

It was assumed that we need only gather and process enough information. Recently, a striking discovery changed our perspective: Simple deterministic systems with only a few degrees of freedom can generate random behavior.nIn principle, the future condition of a dynamic system is completely determined by present and past conditions. In practice, however, amplification of small initial uncertainties makes a system with short-term predictability unpredictable in the long term.
