A Series of Low-drag Aerofoils Embodying a New Camber-Line

A series of low-drag aerofoils is displayed in this paper, which introduces a new stock-type of camber-line.nThe method of design follows that of R. & M. 2166 and the greater part of the work involves standardised computational processes. The design of one of the series is described in detail, and one is also compared, favourably, with a corresponding roof-top aerofoil.nIn Section 6 a method is given of obtaining easily an approximate value for the lower limit of the CL range when the upper limit is known.
