Effects of local panel oscillations on bending and torsional vibrations of box beams with flexible covers and webs are investigated. Theo¬retical analyses of simplified models are made in order to shed light on the mechanism of coupling between local and overall vibrations and to derive results than can be used to estimate the coupling effects in box beams.
