The youngest phase of solar type stars, low mass protostars, are found deep inside molecular cloud cores. Violent mass accretion is believed to occur onto the proto-stellar core, but the activity is generally hidden inside an enormous thickness of gas. From spectral energy distribution (SED) in the infrared (IR) and radio wavelengths, protostars are divided into two classes, which are thought to represent their evolutionary status.
