摘要

Counter rolling under controlled conditions was measured before and at various times after the oral administration of the drug or placebo. A pool of nine normal subjects participated, and from four to six was jessed in each experimental trial. Alcohol, 1 cc/lb body weight, had a marked and progressive depressant effect on the amount of eye roll during the intoxication period;complete recovery was recorded six hours after its ingestion. Scopolamine, meclizine, acetylsalicylic acid, meprobamate, chlordiazepoxide hydrochloride, d-amphetamine, and diphenidol, given in twice the usually recommended doses, had little or no effect.
