摘要

Energy metabolism and physical performance were tested in two subjects in twenty ergometric examinations over a long period, comparing the locally typical low-fat, high-carbohydrate diet with a high-fat, low-carbohydrate diet.nPerformance, as measured by pulse rate and maximum oxygen consumption during effort on the ergometer, is higher with a low-fat than with a high-fat diet. Fat is utilised as an energy source to a greater extent with a high-fat than with a low-fat diet.
