Demonstration and education project at the Sestroretsky Health Resort St. Petersburg, Russia. Final report

摘要

This project is a continuation of the project 'Environment and Energy plan for Sestroretsky Health Resort', prepared in 1993 as OeLP-project UM No 818 by Christensen and Hofmeister and Horsens Polytechnic. The co-operation partner 'All-Union Research Institute for Hydro Mechanization, Sanitary Engineering and Special Constructions' (VNIIGS) was financially supported by the Russian Ministry for Science and Technology Policy. The support by the Russian Ministry followed the manager of VNIIGS, when he, due to 'feelings of enmity', decided to establish the Academic Centre of Heat Energy Effective Technologies (ACHEET). The aim of the project was to 'show the way' of how to obtain essential energy saving and related environmental saving effects through energy renovation of the existing housing stock. The main concept behind the project was that the complete project would demonstrate: The principles of project management and the implementation of energy conservation measured based on market conditions; the use of Danish know-how and Danish products in relation to the energy renovation of Russian buildings; how Danish and Russian companies could work together in close cooperation; and how Danish experience within this educational sector could be transferred to Russian educational institutions.
