摘要

To determine if there is enough excess reactivity present in the core to override a peak xenon transient and to obtain data for rod worth calculations.nThere was enough excess reactivity available in the core to override a peak xenon transient (after 100 per cent power operation) after 145.4 EFPH of operation. The override of peak xenon occurred approximately 8 hours and 52 minutes after shutdown with Group I control rods (l's, 3's, 5's and 7's) withdrawn to 69 inches and Group II control rods (2's and 6's) withdrawn to 53 inches.
