This paper describes the preparation and properties of the solid calcium orthophosphates, this work being preliminary to a determination of the solu¬bilities of these compounds.nIt is shown that 'anhydrous* 2-calcium phosphate (with a degree of neu-tralization of two - that is, with two equivalents of calcium per PO4, group) -precipitated from aqueous solution always contains about 1/10 mole H2O. The 2 23-calcium phosphate is described in particular detail.
