AN INVESTIGATION OF THE MINERALOGY AND PETROGRAPHY OF URANIUM-BEARING SHALES

摘要

The main objectives of the investigation were:first, to obtain a large amount of precise mineralogical, petrographic and chemical data on many samples of black shale representative of various geologic periods, geographic localities and degree of uranium concentration;second, to analyze and define the interrelationship between the numerous measured variables with respect to differences between geologic and geographic units within each shale studied.
