Theory of Spherical Electrostatic Probes in a Slightly Ionized, Collision-Dominated Gas--Review and Extension

The diffusion equations describing the motion of ions and electrons are derived from the Boltzmann equation and applied to the problem of a spherical electrostatic probe in a dense, slightly ionized gas. The production of charged particles, time variation and magnetic field are all neglected.
