The sample in the form of a dry residue is mixed with Iron Flux. Pellets of the resultant dilutions are spectrographic between copper electrodes using a d.c. arc aligned with a large quartz Littrow-type spectrograph.nSpectra are evaluated by visual methods using iron as internal standard.
