STUDIES IN THE USE OF AMPHIPATHIC MOLECULES AS ADHESION PROMOTERS BETWEEN POLAR AND NON-POLAR MATERIALS

摘要

Investigations were made into the use of orientated monolayers of stearic acid as an adhesion promoter in the bonding of polyethylene to aluminium and stainless steel. It was found that no advantage was observed using the monolayer under the conditions of the experiment.
