摘要

he possibility of reducing the plant accumulation of Sr-90 by deep ploughing of the contaminated soil was investigated in experiments with dif¬ferent crops grown in microplots. The Sr-90 was placed at different levels in the soil profile, and the uptake by barley, rye-grass, red clover, and root crops was measured. As compared with superficial application, place¬ment of the strontium at a depth of 40-45 cm reduced the Sr-90 content of the crops by a factor of 2 to 5 according to the soil type.
