Five different mathematical models for fitting solubility data have been compared using data on the solubility of silver sulfate in aqueous solutions containing various supporting electrolytes. While all the models fit the data reasonably well, it is difficult to say whether any one of them fits the data better than the others. The possible existence of the AgS04- complex ion in solution is also discussed.
