The processes currently employed for the commercial or pilot-plant production of zirconium metal is briefly described and some possible improvements in hose processes are indicated.nA summary of the literature is presented relating to the chlorination of zircon and zirconium dioxide, and the separation of hafnium chloride from zirconium chloride.
