The original proposal to the NSF listed the following topics to be studied:program perception;national systems analysis;regional systems analysis;information processing;communication. The program perception is a continuing activity of the summer and later — the part of technology assessment that has to do with understanding at the working level what the program is and is to be. Thus it appears ubiquitously. The national systems analysis is the electric energy analysis of the progress report, to be con¬tinued in cooperation with the RAND Corporation, Cornell University, and others. The regional systems analysis appears as regional modeling, and information and communication sections appear in this report.
