摘要

The major work during this period has been the continued develop-ment of the coupling between the multichannel, conduction-convection computer program, HEXEREI, and the core auxiliary cooling system per-formance code, ACHERONS. This has involved refinement and incorpo¬ration of the computer program, FLODIS, which determines the amount of coolant flowing in each refueling region at reduced flow conditions.nOther work includes transmitting the single-channel, coupled con-duction-convection model (CCCM) with appropriate documentation to the Division of Technical Review for their use, and completing the documen-tation of the 3-dimensional adiabatic loss of forced convective cooling calculation (HEATUP) that includes the relationship between fuel age and fuel temperature. Two reports, one on the thermal properties of helium-air mixtures and the other on performance calculations for the core auxiliary heat exchanger, are in the process of review and re¬production.
