Hydrogen Energy Storage Program Five-Year Plan

This document covers the Hydrogen Energy Storage Program area of responsibility assigned to the Chemical and Thermal Energy Storage Branch, Division of Energy Storage Systems (STOR) of the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Energy Technology within the DOE. Certain other organizations within DOE are presently involved in hydrogen energy-related activities which are outside the present program's scope;i.e.:n• hydrogen production from coal is the responsibility of the Division of Coal Conversion, andn• certain research and application projects relating to hydrogen are being conducted by other organizations including the Division of Transportation Energy Conservation, the Division of Basic Energy Science, the Division of Solar Technology, and the Division of Magnetic Fusion Energy.nAll of the hydrogen-related work within the DOE is coordinated by the DOE Hydrogen Energy Coordinating Committee.
