摘要

Operational reliability of the pressurizer (and relief tank) safety valves of the pressurized-water reactor (PWR) should be demonstrated by means of experimental and analytical investigations in blowing down hot pressurized water in failure cases. This demonstration should show that the safety valve requirements which can be challenged by ATWS breakdowns can be met. The purpose of these experimental investigations is to determine the performance of the pressurizer safety valve (PSR) in the design and layout presently customary in PWR's with particular emphasis on their control. For this purpose, construction and operation of suitable test facilities constitutes one of the requirements.
