The report describes experiments performed at ''El Bajio'' zone in Central Mexico and provides data on the characteristics of soils, climate, vegetation etc. Tritium was sprayed in form of HTO on fields of maize and beans ten days after sowing. Sampling and analytical method for determination of tritium are described. Half residence times of tritium are calculated. Tissue bound tritium is also measured and more sophisticated analyses are performed on tritium content in fat, protein, starch and fiber as well as endosperm, germ and seed coat.
