摘要

This report documents the technical evaluation of the electrical, instrumentation, and control design aspects of the low temperature over-pressure protection system for the Point Beach nuclear power plant, Units 1 and 2. Design basis criteria used to evaluate the acceptability of the system included operator action, system testability, single failure crite¬rion, and seismic Category I and IEEE Std-279-1971 criteria. This report is supplied as part of the Selected Electrical, Instrumentation, and Con¬trol Systems Issues Support Program being conducted for the U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission by Lawrence Livermore Laboratory.
