Splendor and Misery of the Distorted Wave Method Applied to Heavy Ions Transfer Reactions

The success and failure of the Distorted Wave Method (DWM) applied to heavy ion transfer reactions are illustrated by a few examples: one and multi-nucleon transfer reactions induced by exp 15 N and exp 18 O on exp 28 Si target nucleus performed on the vicinity of Coulomb barrier, respectively, at 44 and 56 MeV incident energy.
