摘要

This study concerns the determination of the focusing structure of a proton linear accelerator (as well as the beam parameters adapted to this structure) in the presence of space charge forces. In the method used, the beam is likened to a uniformly charged ellipsoid, and the space charge forces are calculated as a function of its three dimensions. (ERA citation 04:053554)
