Self-Consistent Study of Localization

The localization models of Abou-Chacra et al. and Kumar et al. are critically re-examined in the limit of weak disorder. By using an improved method of approximation, we have studied the displacement of the band edge and the mobility edge as function of disorder and compared the results of Abou-Chacra et al. and Kumar et al. in the light of the present approximation.
