摘要

An investigation was conducted to determine the effect of the included edge angle upon the radius produced by vibratory finishing of small precision parts. Workpiece materials studied included phosphor bronze, 6061-T6 aluminum, and 303Se stainless steel. Edges having included angles smaller than 90 exp 0 require finishing cycles up to 20 times longer than those having angles greater than 90 exp 0 . The effect of the edge angle can be easily calculated. (ERA citation 06:022417)
