The proposed electron beam (e-beam)flue gas cleanup process development unit program has been analyzed to investigate methods of reducing total project cost.Two major program elements were analyzed in detail: (1) equipment and installation, and (2) test program. Results indicate that reducing the maximum design flow rate and shortening the test period can significantly reduce total project cost while still maintaining most of the original project goals.
