Pre-Freshman and Cooperative Education for Minorities and Women in Engineering (PRE-FACE) Program. Final Report

A two-week, live-in, energy oriented, engineering workshop designed to motivate, better prepare and increase the pool of underrepresented students for college careers in engineering and science was conducted for 49 minority students on the California State University, Long Beach campus from Sunday, June 15 to Friday, June 27, 1980. The Department of Energy, the American Society of Civil Engineering, C.S.U.L.B. and MESA provided most of the financial and in-kind support with numerous smaller contributions by local industry and the engineering community.
