Soft Modes in Condensed Matter Physics.

摘要

The soft mode concept has played an important and successful role in the understanding of a variety of phase transitions in condensed matter. We demonstrate this in the latest example of the high T/sub c/ superconductor of La sub 2 CuO sub 4 and related compounds. Then we discuss, in some detail, recent neutron scattering studies of soft modes in the Martensitic alloy Ni-Al. 13 refs., 7 figs. (ERA citation 13:046907)
