摘要

The effect of transience on the hydromagnetic flow of a thermally radiating gas in a vertical channel is investigated under the assumption that the gas is optically thin, non-grey and non equilibrium; and the induced magnetic field may be neglected. Analytical solutions are obtained for thermal tooth pulses via Fourier series expansion. The effect of the variation of free convection, magnetic and radiation parameters on the shear stress and heat transfer at the walls are discussed quantitively. (author). 6 refs, 2 tabs.
