This paper describes tests carried out in the Structures Laboratory of the C & C A for D.A. Stewart Esq. M.B.E. A.M.I.C.E. A.M.I.E.E. and the Ministry of Works, to determine the effect of:nGap-graded concrete in conjunction with normal spacing of reinforcement (as set out in C.P.114);nBunched grouping of reinforcement in conjunction with gap-graded concrete;non the load carrying capacity of reinforced concrete beams at maximum working load and at failing load.
