A STUDY OF CEREBROV ASCULAR CHANGES AND CEREBRAL EDEMA

During the reporting period (March .1-i-°62 - Sept.3o,1963; actual period see under Administrative Note ) 268 animal experiments were performed, 43 control runs were made for which 79 animals were used. All animals had to be sacrificed. The manner of an aesthesia was, as usual, with intraperitoneal Pentothal, 50 mg/kg of body weight. There was one anesthetic death. The animals were grouped according to the type of experiment planned. During the first 3 cuarters of the reporting period, some animals were used for more than one (sometimes 4 ) studies, during the last charter, most animals - due to the type of experiment could only be used for one experiment.
