DISLOCATION MOVEMENTS AND DISLOCATION ARRAYS

In the course of the experimental investigation as outlined; Mr. Guyard, an M. S student encountered many difficulties. At the conclusion of one year's work, Mr.Guyard was awarded the Vt. S. degree on the basis of his achievement, having solved many of the technical difficulties and having analyzed the stress system in the crystals. However, no-information on deformation hands had been gained. This was due to the lack of methods by which deformation bands-could be -studied reliably in a quantitative fashion.
