Research and Development Program of Thermionic Conversion of Heat to Electricity

摘要

The objective of this program is the development of a nuclear thermionic electrical generating system for the Department of the Navy. Work under this contract is being performed to develop the materials capabilities which are essential for this nuclear thermionic system. This work consists of three major tasks. They are: UO2-refractory metal reaction kinetics, insulator materials development, ceramic-to-metal seal development.
