摘要

The problem of how to allocate tasks between men and equipment components of a command and control system is addressed. Specific information-processing steps involved in the selection of a course of action from among alternatives are defined as the tasks to be allocated in a man/computer partnership. The five tasks are as follows:nTask 1. Identify the set of relevant action alternatives.nTask 2. Identify the criteria which determine the desirability of the alternatives.nTask 3. Assess the extent to which each action alternative satisfies each criterion.nTask 4. Weight the degree of importance of each criterion for the diagnosed situation.nTask 5. Apply a selection rule to the information resulting from prior tasks.
