摘要

This analysis, being based on the hypothesis that the wave is weak, cannot yield all the properties of the bore, especially those at the shoreline. Nevertheless it does determine how the height of the bore increases rapidly at first and then more gradually. It also determines the position and speed of the bore as functions of time.
