A Method of Solving the Integral Equations for the Vertical Propagation of Time-Harmonic Electromagnetic Plane Waves in Anisotropic Vertically-Homogeneous Media

The problem of formulating a rigorous mathematical description of electromagnetic wave propagation in anisotropic inhomogeneous media is dealt with in this work. This based on a full-wave treatment.nThe coupled integral equations for continuous-waves are developed and methods for their solution deduced utilizing a matrix technique. Application is made to an exactly known solution as a test of the method.
