摘要

The structural changes taking place in a commercial AISI Type 310 steel at temperatures in the range 650 to 950C were examined for times of up to 900 hours by means of optical metallographic techniques. The precipitation of sigma phase, ferrite, and carbides was examined in terms of their distribution and morphology. The appearance of ferrite as a transformation product has not been reported previously for Type 310 stainless steel, but no association between its formation and that of sigma was found. (Author)
