FRACTURE TOUGHNESS OF CERAMIC MATERIALS USING THE SINGLE-EDGE-NOTCHED SPECIMEN.

摘要

The possibility of using the single-edge-notched specimen for fracture toughness testing of ceramic materials has been investigated. Five materials were used in this study as follows;borosilicate glass,magnesia,alumina A,alumina B,and crystalline glass. For three of the materials,where the data of other investigators were readily available,good agreement was obtained. (Author)
