摘要

A short handbook approach relating physical and environmental selection parameters to STOL transport capability is provided. It reviews existing laws and regulations on transport noise abatement. It reviews the noise from turbofan powered transports and discusses the future research and development trends and needs. It provides an indepth analysis of free turbine turbopropeller noise abatement providing engineering formulas,examples,and experimental data. (Author)
