Investigation of Pyrotechnic Generated Gas Discharge Fire Extinguishing System.

摘要

Advanced aircraft operating in supersonic and hypersonic flight regimes will impose many environmental problems on aircraft subsystems. Fire extinguishing equipment will be required to operate efficiently over a -65F to 500F temperature range. To meet this requirement, a subscale Pyrotechnic Fire Extinguishing System was designed,developed and fire tested under simulated flight conditions. It uses bromo fluoro alkanes as extinguishing agents. (Author)
