Electromagnetic radiation pattern shapes were measured for four transmitting and five receiving antennas located at the U.S. Coast Guard Radio Station near San Francisco. All antennas were broadband, operating over a portion of the high frequency band with vertical or horizontal polarization and in one case circular polarization. Contour pattern plots were determined for a number of frequencies over the designed operating frequency range of the antenna. Elevation pattern plots were constructed for a selected number of antennas. A reference or control whip antenna was used to verify measurement results. Information is presented about the relative gain of these antennas.
