A Hand-Disinfection Device for Use in Aeromedical Airlift.

摘要

An improved in-flight hand-disinfection device was developed to provide a convenient means for medical crewmembers and patients to apply an effective disinfectant to the hands where adequate handwashing facilities are not available. Specifications required the device to be simple,durable,lightweight,able to be readily secured/attached to a litter stirrup or stanchion or permanently wall-mounted in dedicated aeromedical aircraft,and to permit easy installation and removal of the container of disinfectant (Septisol) foam. The hand-disinfection device has been evaluated as suitable for use in aeromedical airlift. (Author)
