Investigation of Cineholographic System Characteristics. I. Theoretical Treatment of Special Holographic Techniques used in Cineholography.

The investigation compares the cineholographic display technique using large condensing lenses to expand the viewing area to that using the fly's-eye lensatic array. It is found that for either system the film positioning tolerance is approximately 1/4the lens or lenslet diameter. Refinemnets in the condensing lens technique are suggested and a 35mm cineholographic projector is proposed. (Author)
