Dead-Zone Limiter: An Application of Conditional Tests in Nonparametric Detection.

The concept of a conditional statistical test is applied to obtain a nonparametric detector based on the dead-zone limiter nonlinearity. The resulting detector is easily implemented, and its performance is shown to be superior to that of the sign detector for both large and small samples. (Author)
