Gastric Secretory Studies in the Rhesus Monkey: The Relationship between Gastric Mucosal Blood Flow and Gastric Secretory Function.

Based on the current controversy regarding the relationship between gastric blood flow and gastric secretory functions and the unresolved status as to whether or not a causal relationship between these two functions exists, studies were undertaken to develop an appropriate experimental model to study this mechanism to eliminate criticisms of earlier studies in this area and to define the association between gastric mucosal blood flow and gastric secretion under conditions more closely approximating a physiologic state than previously reported.
